DIY 3D Printer
Built my own 3D printer, I also did all the electrical wiring and upgraded it by installing a new extruder nozzle! It took around two weeks to build, the build volume is 300 x 300 x 400mm! This is an FDM printer, it works by heating up PLA, or ABS plastic that comes in a spool and then extruding it through a hot nozzle, it then creates objects by extruding the design layer by layer.

The back panel housing all the wiring, motherboard and power supply!

One of the first prints, this is called a Benchy. It’s a boat that’s difficult to print as it has a lot of complex geometry that doesn’t translate well into 3D printing.
How good your printer can print it gives you an estimate of your printers capabilities.

It came out near perfect!
